Highlights
MARKET MOOD:
Setups, setups, and more setups!
The major indexes are almost universally in sideways trends. All time frames, all indexes (except the $DJIA which I feel is in an uptrend on the monthly timeframe). Regardless, all this sideways actions has generated a TON of setups. More than I’ve seen in months!
We had 22 stocks setting up from the Universe List (if you’d like to see the distribution list in Trend Spider, email mike@marawealth.com ) and of those 22, 16 made it to the focus swing trading list! Feels like ages since I’ve seen this many.
Think of the number of setups as the amount of gas in the tank of a high performance car. The more gas it has, the further it can go.
Well, not only do we have a lot of setups, but 5 of them scored above a 7 on the Trade Gauntlet (our proprietary screening tool available to MARA Elite members). Not only do we have a lot of gas in the tank, its high octane!
Let me remind you, MANAGE PORTFOLIO HEAT (your total risk exposure).
Just like a high performance race car, your engine can get overheated.
Whenever you put on trades, only take the A+ setups. If they do well, then add. If they go nowhere, its not the time to add. Let your best ideas prove themselves. If the best ideas don’t move, why should lesser ones?
Remember, the market is an infinite stream of opportunity. Don’t rush. Don’t chase. Let the setups come to you.
TRADE IDEAS:
More strong ideas than I can trade… A high quality problem. ☺️
I’m aiming to put on another 3% of capital at risk this week. In my main account, I’ll be bringing my total risk (portfolio heat) to 5% at risk.
In my smaller account, I’m bringing it up to 3% risk.
The setups are strong this week. 4 scored over a 7.5! That’s the most than I’ve seen since we launched the Trade Gauntlet.
Here are the lists: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fH6FZbdnmyytg9fdNfK1Zv_9insau2Or6LT7C_hjZx0/edit?usp=sharing
Slightly new format. I’m including more of my game plan in the ‘action list’.
The swing trade focus list may serve as alternates if ideas on the action list fall apart or if other trades not on the action list tighten up mid-week.
Swing Trades (getting close) are setting up but need a little more time. They might get there mid-week so keep an eye on them.
Day Trade Focus List are all stocks that have broken out and have momentum (except UBER which if it does breakout can have a ton of momentum behind it).
